I would have sworn that Kasar was not going to have a chance to get back in the house. All the evidence pointed to the fact that CBS was going to let Eric back in, no matter what America voted for.
There was one page on their site that asked who you thought was going to win BB6, and Eric was the only evicted houseguest who was not greyed out… and Kaysar was the last to leave!
Maybe enough people complained about the apparent outcome loud enough for CBS to get a clue. But then again, how do we know they didn’t adjust the numbers to let Kaysar in if Eric actually got more votes?
There is absolutely NO way that CBS could fudge the numbers enough to reflect Kaysar got 82% of the vote. On the other hand, who’s going to try to investigate, or “hold a recount”, if there’s that much margin of victory?
Oh, well… it just thrilled me to see Maggie and Ivette when Kaysar opened the front door. I was hoping they would get mad and leave the house, but it made me happier to see them miserable after realizing that America wasn’t as in love with their HERO as they were.
MUA–HA–HA–HA–HA–HA–HA
It was absolutely tremendous. I voted for Kaysar probably 15 times, even though I knew it wouldn’t make a difference. I just didn’t know it would be icing on the cake for Kaysar’s vote count.

Johnson Space Center
Christle and I went to JSC in Clear Lake on Monday as part of our Anniversary weekend. The technology available is absolutely astounding today when compared to 10 years ago. I don’t remember the last time I was there (probably in elementary school – early 80s), but there was so much more there. I landed the shuttle on the simulator that they had out there for anyone to play with. There were 6 year old kids that could land the shuttle on the simulator using the hardest setting. That’s better than I could, and I like to think of myself as a good gamer.
The tour was about as interesting as the ones anywhere else… pretty boring. The facts that we learned were pretty cool, though. I learned that they already have broken down what we could mine for on the moon, and they predict that 42% of what they could develop from the moon’s core is oxygen!
It is really amazing how small those first capsules were that the astronauts stayed seated in for all that time.
There’s not really a whole lot to do, though, so it might be worth it to stop by McDonald’s and pick up a 50% off coupon before you show up, though.
Podcasting
I don’t know why I can’t find any decent instructions on how to podcast. Sure, there’s lots of information on how to actually create and edit an mp3 file to publish, but there’s almost nothing out there that simply instructs on how to actually publish!!!
I found Podcast Research as the most informative site, and even then I had to experiment to see if I was getting too much fluff. Podcast Research is where I got the following code:
Here is our <a href=”http://www.kunefke.us/blog/wp-content/podcast_test.mp3″ title=”podcast_test.mp3″ rel=”enclosure”>test podcast</a>.
I used this code, edited of course, and did a test on this site. I set up iPodder and subscribed to my rss2 feed that is preconfigured for WordPress, and it downloaded the test mp3, with NO problem.
Just in case you’re wondering, my RSS2 feed using WordPress is
http://www.kunefke.us/blog/?feed=rss2
Just copy from there and paste into your RSS Reader
I just wanted to figure out how to podcast to members of my family and church as inexpensively as possible, and this is the way I do it. I hope if you stumbled upon this post, that it helped you do what you need to do.
For information on getting your podcast to the masses, you’ll probably need to look elsewhere, but there is info on that in Podcast Research.
Good Luck!
Michael Jackson Verdict
I can’t believe that Michael Jackson didn’t get convicted of at least giving alcohol to a minor. At the very least, he should have gotten that!
I do, however, believe that the jury did the right thing. The prosecution should have made sure that the family didn’t have a history of trying to pull scams, and telling lies. There were so many holes in their credibility, that an honest juror couldn’t help but acquit Jackson. I know that most of America knows he has molested children in his past, but I know I could’nt pin him with THAT evidence.
There’s also a BIG difference between this and OJ, and Robert Blake. That’s the fact that there is major evidence in those two cases. I saw Craig Ferguson last night, and he was joking that Robert Blake’s alibi included the word “gun” and he was still acquitted! Every juror in the jury for OJ, KNEW that leather shrinks when wet! The other BIG difference is the fact that there were dead bodies.
With the Jackson case we’ll probably never find out what really happened. At least, not in this lifetime.
Glenn Beck
I have been listening to Glenn Beck on the radio for what seems like a very long time. He is a Christian who has a terrific sense of humor and also has a sense of politics. Apparently, a few years ago, his show was completely serious, and they found that their listening audience started tuning in more for the comic relief. The show is one of my favorites. I added the link to Glenn Beck to the Links list.
Astros
I have been an Astros fan all of my life. Not that my life’s been that long, but I have been.
I made it a point to watch/listen to as many games as I could all season last year, even when they weren’t doing all that well in the mid summer. It felt really good to see them get so close to the World Series. I even felt good about the season as a whole after they lost the National League Series.
I felt even better to find out that Roger Clemens had signed on for another year. Brandon Backe had been picked as a starter and Andy Pettitte had been getting better. Berkman was getting close to full recovery, and the only real big question was whether Burke or Biggio would be starting at 2nd base.
The first 2 weeks of the season were pretty good. Then they started playing more road games. I almost feel sick to my stomach when I see the scores come across my pager. I’m kinda scared that we’re not going to get to the Series until the club’s 50th season and then we’re probably not going to win it until the 75th or 100th.
I really hope that’s not the case. And I’d love to get tickets and go to a game even if it were today. I’d root and cheer for the Astros during the entire game. I just wish that it weren’t so depressing when they have these streaks of bad luck. It’s so hard to detach myself from the way they’re playing, and not let it affect my daily life.
It’s almost as bad as rooting for the Texans, even though they’ve only had a few seasons. At least they were pretty close to a .500 season last year.
