I was hoping for something big to happen today, but it didn’t. I guess God has something bigger, but it’s really hard to notice anything bigger when what you do see doesn’t work out the way you wanted it to.
I guess that’s just the way God made life… so that we can learn to appreciate everything He’s given us.
Your mom and I took a little break when we got home from church last night and watched the movie, “The Pursuit of Happyness”. I don’t know what it is, but I know God has something great in store for you, my son. You are just too bright, talented and have just too big a heart for Him not to. It may not be fame or riches. His idea of “great” is not the same as ours. His timing is not always ours either.
Just keep doing what’s right and keep your faith where it belongs. The obstacles the young man in “The Pursuit of Happyness” were tremendous. I know it was just a movie and your cirumstances are much different, but I couldn’t help thinking of you when watching it.
